Adopt a Pet for Just $52 at the Humane Society of Harford County to Honor the Career of Baltimore Ravens Beloved Linebacker

Fallston, MD (January 10, 2013) – To commemorate the amazing career of #52 Ray Lewis who is retiring after 17 years with the Baltimore Ravens football team who is also competing in the AFC Divisional playoffs this weekend, the Humane Society of Harford County is offering a $52 adoption special. For three days only, adoptive families visiting the shelter this Friday, January 11 through Sunday, January 13 will be able to adopt any adult cat or dog over one year of age for just $52. As an added bonus, anyone who is wearing purple when they adopt will get a free gift!

The $52 adoption fee includes a rabies vaccination, the first set of distemper shots, de-wormer, flea & tick preventative, a microchip for identification purposes, and a general health exam. If not already sterilized, there is a $50 deposit for a HASP (Harford Animal Sterilization Program) certificate so the animal can be spayed or neutered. That fee is refunded upon completion of the procedure within 60 days.

The adoption fee for adult cats is regularly between $75 and $95 and the fee for adult dogs is between $95 and $160, so this adoption special represents a significant savings.
