Fallston, MD (February 20, 2014) – Exciting changes are in store for customers at Harford Mall. The Humane Society of Harford County’s (HSHC) satellite cat adoption center, Rescue Me! at Harford Mall has partnered with The Mill of Bel Air and will be sharing retail space to cater exclusively to pet lovers and owners. The Mill of Bel Air is calling its new location “The Mill at The Mall”.

Cats from HSHC that are up for adoption on the right side of the store watch curiously from their condos as customers browse for pet supplies including food, treats, toys, crates, beds, grooming supplies and other accessories from The Mill at The Mall. The Mill at The Mall also carries wild bird seed, feeders and accessories as well as unique gifts including flags and Mill T-Shirts.

“We are very excited to be partnering with the Humane Society of Harford County at the Harford Mall,” said Henry Holloway, owner of The Mill of Bel Air. “We carry everything for the pet lover on your list, while the Humane Society finds new homes for cats and kittens. It’s the perfect match!”

The Humane Society offers cats for adoption daily, and on the third Saturday of every month from 12-3pm, dogs that are up for adoption will be visiting the store.

Adoption fees for cats at Rescue Me! at Harford Mall are as follows: $125 for kittens aged 8 weeks through 6 months; $95 for cats aged 7 months through 5 years; and $45 for cats 6 years and older. All cats and kittens adopted from Rescue Me! at Harford Mall and the shelter in Fallston include a rabies vaccination (if the pet is at least 4 months old), the first set of distemper shots, feline leukemia and AIDS testing, de-wormer, flea & tick preventative, a microchip for identification purposes, the spay or neuter procedure, and a general health exam. If the cat is not yet spayed or neutered, there is a $50 deposit for a HASP (Harford Animal Sterilization Program) certificate so the animal can be spayed or neutered. That fee is refunded upon completion of the procedure within 60 days (or 60 days after the animal reaches six months of age).

HSHC’s Rescue Me! at Harford Mall and The Mill at The Mall are located near Sears and next to Visionworks. Hours are Monday through Saturday, 11 am – 7 pm and Sunday, 11 am – 5 pm. Holiday hours may vary. Harford Mall is located at 696 Bel Air Road, Bel Air, MD 21014.
